French Teacher – Classroom Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a qualified French Teacher to develop and deliver curriculum for assigned grade levels. The role involves creating lesson plans, fostering student engagement, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and organize long‑range lesson plans and daily class work aligned with curriculum standards.
• Select, adapt, or modify teaching methods and materials to best meet student needs.
• Support, counsel, and motivate students, taking into account individual personalities, backgrounds, and interests.
• Adhere to safety and security procedures and contribute to a positive school climate.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with proof required.
• Valid, unencumbered state teaching license in the relevant content area, or equivalent DoDEA certification.
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 40 semester hours of general education coursework and 18 semester hours of professional teacher education.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete Selective Service certification.

• Understanding of assessment, curriculum standards, and classroom management.
