French Practice Associate

About the role
Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP is seeking a motivated Associate to join its French Practice in New York. The role supports French‑ and francophone‑based clients with U.S. market entry, corporate structuring, and cross‑border transactional matters.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee M&A and other corporate transactions, including due diligence, document review, risk identification, drafting, and closing.
- Draft and review corporate and commercial agreements for domestic and international clients.
- Advise French clients on U.S. corporate governance, operational, and employment matters.
- Handle stock transfer agreements, joint‑venture arrangements, corporate reorganizations, mergers, “flip” transactions, and other strategic deals.
- Review, draft, and negotiate general terms and conditions of sale and other commercial contracts.
Required profile
- 3–12 years of relevant corporate, commercial, and transactional experience (6+ years preferred).
- Highly motivated self‑starter with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to manage complex, cross‑border legal matters for French‑speaking clients.
