French Practice Associate

About the role

Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP is seeking a motivated Associate to join its French Practice in New York City. The role supports French‑ and francophone‑based clients with U.S. market entry, corporate structuring, and cross‑border transactions, providing both strategic and transactional counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support M&A and other corporate transactions, including due diligence, document review, risk identification, drafting, and closing.
• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements such as stock transfer, joint‑venture, and merger documents.
• Advise French clients on U.S. corporate governance, operational matters, and workforce management.
• Coordinate with tax, immigration, labor, and regulatory teams to deliver integrated cross‑border solutions.
• Maintain ongoing corporate governance, compliance, and advisory matters for U.S. subsidiaries and affiliates.

Required profile

• 3–12 years of relevant corporate, commercial, and transactional experience (6+ years preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross‑border transactions and advise multinational clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; French language proficiency is advantageous.
• Self‑starter attitude with a collaborative, collegial approach.
