Franchise Accountant

About the role

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking a detail‑oriented Franchise Accountant to support up to fifteen automotive franchise locations. You will deliver timely financial statements, month‑end close activities, and accounting assistance while collaborating with franchise owners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and perform month‑end closings according to CBAC guidelines.
• Conduct bank and credit‑card reconciliations and heavy general‑ledger account reconciliations, including A/R, A/P, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Generate account analyses and reconciliations for specific G/L accounts during month‑end close.
• Respond to franchisee inquiries on accounting issues and procedures.
• Prepare sales and use tax returns and analyze related account balances.
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies by reviewing account information.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Perform inventory control reconciliations and prepare property tax renditions.
• Manage intercompany billings, payables, and reconciliations.
• Provide payroll assistance as needed and support special projects.

Required profile

• Positive customer‑service attitude with strong communication skills.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably handling multiple company books.
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles such as fixed assets and accruals.
• Self‑starter who can multitask, stay organized, and solve problems effectively.
