Founding Paralegal

About the role

We are looking for a Founding Paralegal to design and run the legal infrastructure for Build AI. Reporting to the founding Legal Counsel, you will create and maintain contract, entity, and compliance systems that support our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end contract administration, including intake, templates, versioning, execution, signature workflows and repository management.
• Maintain international entities and corporate records, handling statutory filings, officer updates, notarizations and annual renewals.
• Manage a global compliance calendar, ensuring all filings, registrations and renewals are completed on time.
• Oversee the consent library across jurisdictions, handling versions, translations and deployment.
• Administer outside‑counsel engagements, matters, invoices and spend.
• Conduct first‑pass legal and regulatory research and organize findings for attorney review.
• Build and automate legal workflows to enable rapid scaling of the function.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Engineering and Manufacturing on cross‑functional legal projects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of paralegal experience, including in‑house work.
• Hands‑on experience with corporate entities, formations, statutory filings and working with registered agents.
• Proven contract administration experience, including repository and template management.
• Track record of running compliance calendars across multiple entities without missed deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong written communication and sound judgment.
• Comfortable building systems while using them in a fast‑moving startup environment.
