Founding Full Stack Engineer

About the role

A well‑funded early‑stage B2B SaaS startup in AI‑powered sales automation is hiring its first founding engineer. You’ll work directly with the CTO to build self‑improving conversational agents that run product demos 24/7 and shape the technical culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM orchestration, conversation flow, tool use, and voice capabilities for AI agents.
• Build embeddable, generative UI widgets that adapt in real time across devices.
• Create and maintain customer‑facing platform tools for configuring agents, managing flows, and reviewing performance.
• Develop evaluation pipelines, automated regression tests, and infrastructure for zero‑cold‑start, instant responses, and versioned deployments.

Required profile

• Proven experience building LLM‑based conversational agents, including prompt engineering and orchestration.
• Production backend development in Python and frontend development with React.
• Ability to deliver full‑stack features end‑to‑end, from design to deployment.
• Experience deploying production services on AWS or GCP with Docker; Kubernetes a plus.

What we offer

• Base salary $180,000 – $230,000 USD annually.
• Early‑stage equity commensurate with a founding engineer role.
• On‑site work in San Francisco, CA, five days a week.
