Founding Design Engineer

About the role

Nero is looking for its first engineering hire to shape the visual and technical identity of a fast‑growing creator‑monetisation platform. As a Founding Design Engineer you will work side‑by‑side with the CTO, turning high‑end design concepts into robust, real‑time full‑stack features for livestreaming audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end design and implementation of new product features, ensuring visual fidelity and functional reliability.
• Architect and build full‑stack systems using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, including real‑time state management for high‑concurrency livestream queues.
• Collaborate on technical and visual strategy, leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate concept‑to‑shipping cycles.
• Own the product lifecycle from database schema design to front‑end interaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with a strong portfolio of high‑fidelity frontend work.
• Design‑first mindset combined with solid full‑stack logic.
• Passion for the creator economy and willingness to work onsite in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• High ownership mentality and ability to thrive in a seed‑stage, high‑growth setting.
