Forward Deployed Agent Engineer – Early Career

About the role

Cogent Security is seeking a new‑grad Forward Deployed Agent Engineer to bring AI‑driven security agents into complex customer environments. You will work directly with enterprise security teams, adapting the platform to their data and tools while delivering measurable security outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy security‑focused AI agents that reason over large datasets and interact with security systems.
• Lead end‑to‑end technical delivery for customers, including data ingestion, transformation pipelines, workflow design and feature extensions.
• Integrate cutting‑edge text, voice and multi‑modal models at scale and evaluate their performance in production.
• Collaborate with customer security teams to integrate agents with existing tools, processes and data sources.
• Identify cross‑customer trends, feeding field insights back into platform improvements and new capabilities.

Required profile

• Graduating Dec 2026 or Spring 2027 with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build and ship real software projects through coursework, internships or personal work.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfort with ambiguity, ownership of end‑to‑end delivery and focus on customer outcomes.

What we offer

• Base salary range $100,000 – $160,000 per year.
