Forklift Mechanic – Full-Time (Wheeling, IL)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Mechanic to join its Wheeling, IL service center. The role involves rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining forklifts, pallet jacks and hydraulic lifts in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Rebuild, repair, and maintain industrial forklifts.
• Repair electric and manual pallet jacks.
• Perform maintenance on aerial lifts (plus).
• Create and manage repair work orders using a computer.
• Lift and handle loads up to 125 lb as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Minimum 3 years experience repairing/maintaining industrial fork trucks.
• Experience with electric and manual pallet jack repair/maintenance.
• Aerial lift repair/maintenance experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer tasks such as creating work orders.
• Own basic tools; company provides specialized tools.
• Ability to lift 100 lb and work in a fast‑paced environment.
