Foodservice Worker

About the role

The Foodservice Worker supports the efficient operation of food preparation and service in a variety of dining settings. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer service to ensure a positive dining experience. This position works closely with kitchen staff and management to meet daily operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and portion guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils in line with health and safety standards.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Serve food to customers or assist with food delivery within the facility, providing courteous and efficient service.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to coordinate meal preparation and timely service during peak hours.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Previous experience in foodservice or hospitality is a plus.
• Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred.

Required skills

• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
