Food Service Worker 3 – Driver (Decatur, GA)

About the role

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Food Service Worker 3 who will also serve as a driver. This full‑time position supports the Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta by delivering meals and snacks to patients and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver meals and snacks to designated locations within the hospital.
• Serve food to consumers in accordance with dietary guidelines.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans and mop kitchen floors.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Operate a vehicle safely with a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a food service role or equivalent experience at Food Service Worker 2 level.
• Previous experience as a lead or supervisor is preferred.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
