Food Service Supervisor – Marietta RYDC (Georgia)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage daily operations at the Marietta RYDC facility. You will act as the second‑in‑command, ensuring food safety, compliance, and smooth service for the campus community.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the food service operation at the facility level, overseeing staff and daily activities.
• Assist the Food Service Director with management tasks and act as lead kitchen employee when needed.
• Maintain ServSafe (or equivalent) certification and ensure compliance with health, USDA, DOE, DJJ, ACA, and other regulations.
• Prepare and review paperwork for audits, corrective action plans, and monthly reporting in JTS.
• Place weekly orders for raw foods, USDA commodities, and DOD produce while managing inventory and budget.
• Inspect deliveries for quality, handle vendor issues, and monitor sanitation and safety standards.
• Provide training to staff on sanitation, safety, and program compliance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in food service, with one year in a supervisory or lead role (or equivalent Food Service Worker 3 experience).
• Current ServSafe (or approved agency) Food Safety Management certification.

Required skills

• ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification.
• Computer literacy for email communication and data entry in JTS.
