About the role
The School District of Baraboo is hiring a Food Preparer for Al Behrman Elementary School. This full‑time position works 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm, starting August 24 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble meals and snacks according to district nutrition guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory control, receiving deliveries, and stock rotation.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Required profile
- High school diploma (additional related training is a plus but not required).
- Ability to work the scheduled hours consistently.
- Commitment to the district’s inclusive values and equitable access principles.
Required skills
- Basic food preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
What we offer
- Starting wage of $15.50 per hour, benefit‑eligible.
- Payroll on the 15th and last day of each month.
