Floor Manager

About the role

The Floor Manager is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for overseeing daily dining‑room operations and delivering an excellent guest experience at our New York restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Manage front‑of‑house shifts and support service staff throughout the day.
• Engage with guests to address needs, resolve issues, and encourage repeat visits.
• Monitor table turns and coordinate closely with the host, bar, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service flow.
• Train, coach, and onboard team members while enforcing service and safety standards.
• Assist with scheduling, opening and closing procedures, and track key performance indicators.
• Support special events and maintain a positive, inclusive work environment.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing skills with a focus on creating welcoming guest experiences.
• Effective communication abilities for clear coordination with team members, leadership, and guests.
• 2+ years of operations management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Proven experience in training and coaching staff.
• Current DOH card and solid knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS and reservation systems: Resy, Toast, and Hotschedules.
