Flexible Learning Pathway Internship

About the role

Ryther offers a flexible, part‑time internship that lets you explore a specific learning pathway while gaining hands‑on experience in child, youth, and family services. The program combines structured training, supervision, and real‑world client work.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in introductory training covering motivational interviewing, behavior management, trauma‑informed care, crisis de‑escalation, record keeping, clinical writing, ethical decision‑making and case management.
• Meet regularly with a direct supervisor and attend group supervision sessions.
• Join weekly team meetings and, when applicable, interdisciplinary case consults.
• Maintain an individual client caseload and work during school breaks as needed.

Required profile

• Enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program relevant to the chosen learning pathway.
• Ability to meet the specific days/times required for the selected pathway.
• Willingness to work during school breaks and to take on tasks outside the primary pathway to fulfill required hours.
