Fleet Operations Associate, Autonomous Vehicles (FT)

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a full-time Fleet Operations Associate for its autonomous vehicle fleet at the DFW Rental Car Center, DFW International Airport. The associate performs hands-on duties that keep the autonomous vehicle fleet safe, ready and available, reporting to the Manager, Operations - Ride Hail with a dotted line to the Fleet Coordinator. The position is on-site and requires flexible shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Service autonomous vehicles daily, including cleaning, charging and sensor calibration support, per company standards
• Drive vehicles in self-drive mode for calibration and deployment procedures
• Troubleshoot "no hail" vehicle states with diagnostic tools, reset remotely or escalate to fleet support
• Complete safety and operational checklists, including pre-deployment software updates
• Deploy and stage vehicles into Rider-Only Commercial Service and move them within the depot
• Report charging equipment issues to technical staff and handle, transport and secure equipment safely
• Maintain clean work areas and follow all safety policies

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of progressive experience in fleet operations, automotive service or vehicle logistics
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and reach for up to 8 hours and lift at least 50 lbs with assistance
• Regular on-site presence; the position cannot be done remotely

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Comfort with mobile and computer-based fleet management systems
• Attention to detail, organization and ability to work independently in a fast pace
