Firewall Engineer / Network Sensing Analyst (Manager)

About the role

EY is looking for a Firewall Engineer / Network Sensing Analyst to design, deploy and manage firewall and network‑sensing solutions for client environments. You will work with a global team of cybersecurity professionals to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage and optimise firewall solutions to enforce security controls.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to detect threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyse security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Collaborate with incident‑response teams to investigate and resolve security events promptly.
• Develop, maintain and document firewall policies, rules and compliance artefacts.
• Support security audits, assessments and adherence to industry standards.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on firewall management and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of experience in network security operations with a focus on firewall management.
• Hands‑on experience with firewall products.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems for incident management.
