About the role
The Office of the State Fire Marshal seeks an organized, compliance‑driven leader to manage the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) certification program, the highest‑tier certification for fire officers in Illinois.
Key responsibilities
- Administer all facets of the CFO certification program, ensuring compliance with state and national standards.
- Manage the evaluation and verification of Fire Officer and prerequisite certification Task Books to confirm candidate readiness.
