Fire Fighter

About the role

The Fire Fighter ensures operational readiness and rapid deployment of Crash Fire Tenders (CFT) and Turn Table Ladders (TTL) at IGI Airport. The role involves responding to emergencies, conducting fire suppression, rescue operations, and providing first aid while maintaining compliance with DGCA and DAEP guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Drive CFT and TTL to incident sites within DGCA‑mandated response times and execute fire suppression, rescue, and first‑aid operations.
• Perform autonomous maintenance, monthly inspections, and operational testing of CFT/TTL to guarantee equipment readiness.
• Manage ARFF store inventory, track extinguishing media, firefighting equipment, and related logistics.
• Handle clerical duties for the ARFF office, including mail, meeting schedules, minutes, and equipment upkeep.
• Develop junior firefighters for lead roles and act as Crew Commander when required.

Required profile

• 10+2 education, preferably with a science background.
• Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) driving licence.
• Qualified in medical first aid.
• Authorization to drive CFT and TTL.
• Good communication skills and basic proficiency in MS Office.
