Fire Fighter – Airport Emergency Response

About the role

The Fire Fighter is responsible for ensuring rapid deployment of Crash Fire Tenders (CFT) and Turn Table Ladders (TTL) during emergencies at IGI Airport. The role includes fire suppression, rescue operations, first‑aid provision, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and administrative support to uphold safety standards in line with DGCA and DAEP regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive CFT and TTL to incident sites within mandated response times and conduct fire suppression, rescue, and first‑aid activities.
• Perform autonomous maintenance, monthly inspections, and operational testing of CFT/TTL to guarantee readiness.
• Manage ARFF store inventory, track extinguishing media, firefighting equipment, and related logistics.
• Handle clerical duties for the ARFF office, including correspondence, scheduling, and equipment upkeep.
• Develop junior firefighters for lead roles and ensure compliance with SOPs and timelines.

Required profile

• 10+2 education, preferably with a science background.
• Valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) driving licence.
• Certification in medical first aid.
• Authorization to operate CFT and TTL.
• Basic computer skills in MS Office.
