Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will report directly to the CFO of a fast‑growing, venture‑backed technology company. This role is responsible for building and scaling the FP&A function, providing the financial insight needed to drive strategic decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the company’s financial model, rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long‑range planning processes.
• Lead monthly and quarterly budget‑to‑actual analyses and deliver actionable recommendations to business leaders.
• Partner with department heads to evaluate spending, forecast operating expenses, and support strategic initiatives.
• Analyze key business metrics, customer economics, profitability trends, and performance indicators.
• Support pricing analyses, resource allocation decisions, and financial modeling for new opportunities.
• Prepare board reporting materials, investor presentations, and executive‑level financial analyses.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting capabilities, and planning infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar discipline.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and FP&A/planning tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Experience in technology, fintech, SaaS, or other high‑growth industries is a plus.
