Financial Examiner – Oklahoma City

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Financial Examiner to join its Oklahoma City team. You will help safeguard the nation’s financial system by evaluating banks and other financial institutions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and identifying risk factors.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review financial statements, loan portfolios, and other data to assess safety and soundness.
• Evaluate legal and regulatory compliance and identify potential risk exposures.
• Lead meetings with senior executives at examined institutions and present findings.
• Prepare clear, concise written reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with examiners and support staff to reach consensus on conclusions.
• Provide guidance and coaching to banking executives and junior team members.
• Share knowledge and give peer feedback to foster continuous development.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years banking‑industry experience in audit, credit analysis, regulatory compliance, information security, cybersecurity, or asset/liability management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• Willingness to travel 20‑30% of the time.
• Ability to work from the Oklahoma City office.
• Preferred: bank examiner commission, graduate degree, and demonstrated leadership experience.
