Financial Controller – Remote (North America)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Financial Controller to lead the global accounting function for a fast‑growing, private‑equity backed SaaS platform. Reporting to the SVP Finance, you will oversee a team of nine accountants, modernize systems, and build the infrastructure needed for continued expansion and future M&A.

Key responsibilities

• Own the NetSuite ERP end‑to‑end, driving adoption, architecture, integrations, workflow automation and continuous optimization.
• Eliminate manual, spreadsheet‑based processes and automate financial close, reporting, billing and reconciliation.
• Partner with IT and data teams to integrate CRM, billing, CPQ, expense‑management and FP&A tools into a unified data architecture.
• Improve vendor reporting, cash forecasting and accounts‑receivable automation using tools such as Tesorio and Flowcast.
• Act as a finance partner to Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and RevOps, translating accounting complexity into clear business requirements.
• Standardize accounting policies, procedures and documentation across all entities and geographies, ensuring public‑company level internal controls.
• Lead, mentor and develop a global accounting team, cross‑training members to reduce single points of failure.

Required profile

• Proven accounting leader with experience in multi‑entity, multi‑currency SaaS businesses.
• Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics (bookings, billings, revenue, CAC, churn, NRR/GRR).
• Track record of building scalable processes, reducing close time and enhancing audit readiness.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence stakeholders from individual contributors to the Board and private‑equity sponsors.
