Financial Controller – Remote

About the role

The Offshore Financial Controller will lead accounting operations for a multi‑market luxury short‑term rental platform. Working remotely, you will partner with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage full month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and working‑capital planning.
• Review and approve revenue, expense, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of multi‑entity financial statements and property‑level P&L reports.
• Direct payroll processing controls and sales‑tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
• Partner with leadership on financial strategy, performance analysis, and tax planning.
• Manage relationships with outsourced accounting partners and drive accounting system optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• 7‑10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a senior controller or accounting leadership role.
• Experience supporting U.S.‑based companies, preferably in hospitality, short‑term rental or real‑estate environments.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and internal‑control principles.

Required skills

• Sage Intacct (or similar accounting system).
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling and variance analysis.
• Expertise in month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital planning.
• Multi‑state sales‑tax compliance.
