Financial Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the U.S. accounting function of a growing international manufacturing organization. The role will be highly visible, partnering with both U.S. and global leadership while supporting integration, relocation and continued expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and U.S. consolidated statements.
• Deliver IFRS and global management reporting.
• Conduct forecasting, financial analysis and operational reporting.
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations and banking activity.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, collections and payroll.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting procedures and drive process improvements.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare audit schedules and footnotes.
• Handle sales tax, activity tax, GST/HST, estimated tax payments and other regulatory filings.
• Perform margin analysis and partner with operational teams.
• Provide accounting support for multiple North American entities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in capital equipment, industrial machinery or project‑based environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with payroll, benefits administration and general‑ledger maintenance.
• Hands‑on, proactive and solution‑oriented work style.
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively across departments.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and follow‑through.
