Financial Controller – Live Events & Production

About the role

We are a fast‑paced production company creating live events, festivals and brand experiences. We seek a results‑driven Financial Controller to lead all financial operations, ensure accurate reporting and support our creative teams in delivering profitable events.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including billing, A/R, A/P, general ledger, cost accounting, inter‑company transactions and revenue recognition.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Conduct project‑based accounting, job costing and profitability analysis for each event.
• Track budgets versus actuals, forecast cash flow and manage working capital.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, financial procedures and automation initiatives.
• Liaise with banks, third‑party vendors and support FP&A activities such as budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee payroll processing, 401(k) compliance and ensure adherence to local tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 5–10 years of accounting experience with demonstrated business‑management responsibilities.
• Background in entertainment, production or live‑events industry.
• Strong leadership, high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Tipalti, NetSuite or similar ERP).
• Strong Excel and analytical abilities.
