Financial Controller

About the role

Voyagu, a San Francisco‑based travel management company, is looking for a Financial Controller to lead the monthly close, ensure accounting accuracy and prepare the company’s financial statements. The role will consolidate revenue, gross profit and operating expenses to deliver a reliable view of financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly accounting close and reporting calendar, preparing P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
• Calculate and report actual EBITDA and reconcile revenue, COGS and gross profit schedules to the general ledger.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations, resolve aged balances and oversee AP, AR, bank reconciliations and payment operations.
• Coordinate payroll accounting, tax filings, statutory reporting and audit requests.
• Prepare monthly management reports and explain material variances.
• Maintain accounting policies, internal controls and drive automation of accounting, reconciliation and reporting processes.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting or financial control.
• At least 3 years in a senior accounting or controller role, supervising finance staff.
• Strong knowledge of monthly close, accruals, cutoff, reconciliations and balance‑sheet control.
• Experience with AP, AR, payroll accounting, taxes and payment controls.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
