Financial Controller

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the accounting function of a fast‑growing e‑commerce organization. The role partners with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, establishing goals and scalable processes.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual close, preparing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Partner with finance and operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting and strategic initiatives.
• Design, implement and maintain effective internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and drive automation and process improvements across accounting systems and ERP platforms.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors, coordinating audits and tax filings.
• Develop accounting policies that support growth and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• Proven experience in an e‑commerce environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls.
