Financial Controller

About the role

Gnomon, a leading visual effects and animation school, is expanding in North America and seeks a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the finance function. Reporting to the CEO and working with the Group CFO, you will ensure financial stability, operational rigor and support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate US GAAP financial statements, manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, oversee statutory compliance and coordinate external auditors.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting, providing variance analysis and actionable insights for strategic decisions.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital management, treasury compliance and banking relationships.
• Evaluate, implement and modernize finance systems, increase automation and align tools with Groupe EDH standards.
• Design and maintain internal control frameworks, enforce finance policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor tax developments and coordinate tax compliance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a US‑based organization.
• Strong business acumen with ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
• Experience managing multi‑entity consolidations and working with external auditors.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead finance transformation initiatives.
