Financial Controller

About the role

Glazer Properties is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its accounting function. You will act as the financial backbone of a national real‑estate portfolio, supporting strategic decision‑making and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage core accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow reports.
• Oversee cash management for more than 50 properties and approve check disbursements.
• Direct annual accounting processes such as CAM reconciliations, real‑estate tax accruals, and operating budgets.
• Design and implement internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk.
• Provide strategic recommendations on financial performance, tax planning, systems, and processes.
• Collaborate closely with leasing, construction, property care, and executive leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with confidence interacting with C‑suite executives.
• Proven experience leading accounting/finance teams and cross‑department collaboration.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial systems, and accounting practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines.
