Financial Controller – Industrial Fabrication & Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a growing industrial fabrication and mechanical services organization. This senior position partners directly with executive leadership to ensure financial accuracy, drive profitability, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
• Maintain accurate job costing, reconcile estimated versus actual project costs, and manage WIP schedules and revenue recognition.
• Oversee sales and payroll tax compliance, exemption certificates, and support external audits.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts, accounts receivable aging, and collections; align accounts payable with cash flow objectives.
• Establish strong internal controls, audit trails, and drive continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Experience in construction, industrial manufacturing, fabrication, or other project‑based environments.
• Proven ability to forecast cash flow and communicate financial information to executive leadership.
