Financial Controller – Hybrid, New York

About the role

Prestige Wellness Group is seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to bring structure, accountability, and visibility to its financial operations. Based in New York with a hybrid work model, you will own core accounting processes while partnering with leadership to improve cash flow, payroll reliability, and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Own cash‑flow management strategy, including daily liquidity, weekly forecasting, and long‑range planning.
• Develop rolling cash‑flow forecasts and advise on spending priorities, capital allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Provide executive leadership with visibility into cash position, future obligations, and financial risks.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate financing needs, support lending relationships, and assist with capital planning initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, establishing clear performance standards.
• Maintain ERP system accuracy and ensure reliable financial reporting for executive decision‑making.
• Own month‑end close, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial governance to support growth.
• Serve as primary owner of investor and leadership financial reporting requests.
• Partner with HR, Operations, and Project Management to improve planning, reporting, and financial discipline.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Full‑cycle accounting and month‑end close expertise.
• Experience with cash‑flow management and payroll processes.
• Background in small to mid‑sized or growth‑stage companies.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
• Experience in resource‑constrained or fast‑changing environments (preferred).
• Familiarity with commission structures and variable compensation (preferred).
• Proven ability to improve financial processes and controls (preferred).
