Financial Analyst

About the role

The Financial Analyst will join the Accounting & Finance team at Discovery Land Company’s Troubadour Golf & Field Club outside Nashville, TN. This position supports the financial management of the club’s development projects, providing analysis, reporting, and close‑process assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date project business plans, ensuring actuals align with accounting systems and forecast data reflect current contracts.
• Prepare the monthly investor report, aggregate financial information, add analytical commentary, and support investor presentations.
• Develop relationships with investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders to deliver timely information and insights.
• Assist the accounting close process, including cash management, general ledger, job costing, budget accounting, contract management, A/P, and fiscal record maintenance.
• Support the annual business plan process for both the club and its development projects.
• Facilitate financial comparison and approval of project budgets with project managers and senior leadership.
• Provide coding assistance for invoices and maintain up‑to‑date budget commitments.
• Participate in development, sales, and club operations calls to stay informed on project activity.
• Draft memos and conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis for equity partners, financing needs, appraisals, and internal requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with US GAAP is preferred.
• Real‑estate experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting applications such as Timberline, Sage Intacct, and Procore.
