Financial Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to join our fast‑paced startup team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support financial planning, month‑end close, expense management, reporting and cross‑functional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare recurring financial reports, KPI dashboards and analyse monthly results, investigating budget‑to‑actual variances.
• Support cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity reporting and assist with budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning.
• Build ad‑hoc financial models and analyses to inform business decisions.
• Participate in the month‑end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, balance‑sheet reconciliations and accrual schedules.
• Administer travel and expense program, review employee expense reports and manage corporate credit‑card reconciliations.
• Respond to leadership requests with timely financial analysis and support operational initiatives across sales, marketing and operations.
• Improve financial processes through automation, documentation and assist with audit, tax, banking and financing requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting or investment banking.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast‑changing startup environment.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas; Power Query a plus).
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Comfort working with large data sets and financial modeling.
