Financial Analyst / Engineer – Accounting & Risk Modeling

About the role

AngelAi is seeking a Financial Analyst / Engineer to own and enhance a critical segment of its financial infrastructure. You will blend quantitative modeling, risk management, and system optimization to drive real‑time financial intelligence in a heavily regulated fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own a defined, high‑impact domain of the company’s financial books.
• Engineer, stress‑test, and deploy forward‑looking financial models that manage risk and forecast outcomes.
• Identify and remediate systemic inefficiencies, optimizing capital, risk, and operational cost flows.
• Analyze complex financial statements, contracts, and legal documents to translate regulatory requirements into actionable system logic.
• Partner with AI, engineering, and executive teams to surface predictive insights and early‑warning indicators.
• Proactively raise red flags and propose optimization strategies that improve the bottom line.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong command of accounting fundamentals and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to read, interpret, and translate legal/contractual documents into financial system logic.
• Financial‑engineering mindset with high intellectual curiosity.
• Comfort with ambiguity and experience navigating complex, high‑stakes financial structures.
• Detail‑oriented, disciplined, and capable of independent leadership.

What we offer

• Compensation range $75,000 – $125,000 annually, based on experience and demonstrated ownership.
