Financial Analyst 3

About the role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Miami’s UHealth campus is seeking a full‑time Financial Analyst 3 to support clinical divisions such as Digestive Health, Rheumatology, and Nephrology. The analyst will examine the organization’s financial status, develop projections, and provide data‑driven insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and coordinate documentation for budgets, forecasts, expense performance, and presentations.
• Identify trends in competitive environments and make recommendations to senior leadership.
• Perform financial forecasting, account reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Review financial reports for accuracy and compare results with plans, recommending adjustments as needed.
• Train and oversee junior staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Support clinical divisions by reviewing monthly financial statements, labor distribution reports, and taking corrective actions.
• Assist in developing fiscal budget projections, preparing accruals, expense reports, and year‑end close activities.
• Design financial models and dashboards to evaluate growth initiatives, pricing, and profitability.
• Act as liaison with other departments, vendors, and external parties.

Required profile

• Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Proven capability to train and supervise junior staff.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to university policies.
