About the role

The UHealth Finance Department at the University of Miami is seeking a full‑time Financial Analyst 3 to lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for its Central system. The role supports decision‑making and strategic initiatives through accurate forecasts, budgets, and insightful financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and support financial analyses, delivering insights for strategic decisions.
• Develop complex revenue and cost models for initiatives.
• Review departmental budgets and forecasts, offering recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial projections that incorporate market trends.
• Conduct variance analysis, trend forecasting, and error correction.
• Create ad‑hoc reports to meet specific business needs.
• Lead data collection and analysis of large data sets.
• Optimize policies and procedures in line with best practices.
• Mentor junior analysts and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Implement improvements to financial reporting systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and sound judgment for critical decisions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables.
