About the role

The Financial Aid Coordinator supports students at Georgia Piedmont Technical College by managing state‑funded aid programs, ensuring compliance, and providing personalized counseling. This full‑time position works closely with the Executive Director of Financial Aid to deliver accurate award processing and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Administer all State of Georgia student aid programs, from award issuance to reconciliation.
• Conduct eligibility reviews, verify Satisfactory Academic Progress, and notify students of award changes.
• Prepare and analyze operational statistics, enrollment data, and compliance reports.
• Deliver one‑on‑one counseling, workshops, and seminars on financial aid options.
• Provide front‑line customer service via in‑person, phone, and email interactions.
• Maintain accurate office records and generate routine reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• At least two years of experience with federal, state, or institutional financial aid processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse student populations.
