Finance Project Leader - Private Brands

About the role

The Finance Project Leader for Private Brands leads key financial projects and provides analysis that supports strategic business decisions within the Private Brands organization. The role manages and maintains the financial models used to calculate the cost of importing products from global suppliers into the United States, ensuring cost assumptions, rates and tariff impacts are accurate and reporting is updated as global trade conditions change. It is a key partner to Private Brands leadership on reporting, financial insights and business planning.

Key responsibilities

• Project control (40%): plan and monitor scope, schedule and cost, coordinate documentation of changes to the baseline and ensure approved changes are implemented.
• Project communications (30%): communicate project information to the team and stakeholders, write status reports and scorecards, and present project review documents to senior leadership.
• Project risk assessment (10%): define risks and mitigation approaches, monitor for risks and escalate or mitigate them in a timely way.
• Project lessons learned (10%): capture lessons at the end of a project or phase and share them with peer Project Leaders.
• Project environment (10%): help provide a good working environment, ensure teams are staffed and duties are understood.

Required profile

• Ages 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• 3 years of preferred experience; no direct reports, reports to a Senior Finance Manager.
• Typical travel under 10% overnight; mostly sitting work in an indoor setting.

Required skills

• Preferred: strong working knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Preferred: intermediate to advanced SQL, including querying and analyzing large datasets.
• Preferred: Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Preferred: Python experience is a plus but not required.
• Preferred: MBAP certification.
