Finance Manager - Credit Services

About the role

The Financial Services & Payments (FS&P) Finance Manager manages the FS&P profit and loss, including cost of acceptance, private label credit card P&L and general and administrative expenses. The role covers P&L forecasting and planning, financial analysis presented to FS&P leadership, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, trend identification and strategy development, and review of the Private Label Credit Card portfolios. It also involves managing the relationship with Global FP&A and acting as a liaison to Accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute department objectives, participate in the annual budget preparation, review monthly expenditures and metrics, and recommend financial planning for the function.
• Lead, plan and coordinate work teams, track performance with metrics and manage workload.
• Ensure operational processes comply with established policies and drive key functional financial metrics.
• Build a strategic alliance with business partners and take part in cross-functional work with Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Operations and Information Systems.
• Review and analyze the performance of the Private Label Credit Card portfolios.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: 5+ years of finance and/or accounting experience, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Preferred: experience in planning (budgeting), forecasting and financial analysis; MBA preferred; private label credit or bankcard portfolio analysis experience.
• Typically reports to a Senior Manager and has direct reports; typically requires overnight travel 5% to 10% of the time.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Project management, prioritization and multi-tasking.
• Preferred: working knowledge of SQL and Google BigQuery, SAP/S4 HANA.
