Finance Data Analyst (Remote, 12‑Month Contract)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Finance Data Analyst to lead the design, building, and support of critical data analysis for Revenue Accounting. Working remotely, you will be the go‑to data professional for the Finance team, collaborating closely with Data Engineering and Data Science to scale processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Run queries against the revenue database to produce monthly digital revenue reports, verify accuracy, and resolve issues.
• Design, implement, and maintain systems and analyses for item‑based revenue recognition, including consumable/durable splits, player life estimations, IAP bundle allocations, and virtual currency patterns.
• Perform quarterly data analysis on user purchases and session data to support revenue accounting.
• Partner with the Finance Data Engineering team to maintain and improve the revenue and partner payments databases.
• Lead internal audit initiatives by building data‑quality tools and collaborating with IT/Engineering to enhance ITGC reliance.
• Assist external auditors and provide support for annual or ad‑hoc system control audits.
• Validate financial data metrics for the FP&A team and identify system improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, analytics, finance/accounting, computer science or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in business/analytics roles such as data science, management consulting, or business operations.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting concepts, management reporting, and external audit requirements.
• Ability to translate non‑technical requirements into actionable data solutions.
