Finance and Accounting Director

About the role

The Finance & Accounting Director is the senior financial leader for an assigned division, responsible for all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the role partners with divisional leadership to drive operational and strategic success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, coordinating inputs from operational leaders and aligning with corporate timelines.
• Develop and maintain accurate financial forecasts, identify variances and risks, and communicate findings to leadership.
• Manage, mentor, and develop the divisional finance and accounting team, establishing clear roles and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with operations leadership through structured meetings to align financial planning with operational realities.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial packages for regular Business Reviews.
• Oversee month‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Own General Ledger for the division, ensuring GAAP‑compliant transaction recording.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and review journal entries.
• Manage cash‑flow reporting, monitoring liquidity and working‑capital needs.
• Conduct variance analysis, communicate root causes, and partner on corrective action plans.
