Finance and Accounting Associate

About the role

Binti is looking for a Finance and Accounting Associate to support its mission‑driven software platform for government social services. This role blends hands‑on financial operations with strategic data‑driven projects in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal data pipelines: automate extraction, transformation, write SQL queries and build dashboards for cross‑functional insights.
• Manage accounts receivable: generate customer invoices, follow up on overdue balances, apply payments in Maxio and communicate with clients.
• Perform account reconciliations, identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Process employee expenses through Ramp, including travel, home‑office stipends and other reimbursements.
• Assist with bank and investor reporting, preparing monthly financial statements.
• Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives to streamline finance and operational workflows.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with a background in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Comfortable working in a mission‑driven, high‑performance team.
• Willingness to work onsite in the San Francisco office at least two days per week.

Required skills

• Experience with Maxio (billing platform).
• Experience with Ramp (expense management).
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and reporting.
