Finance Accounting Manager

About the role

DLC is seeking a Finance Accounting Manager to join its Chicago consulting team. The role involves leading financial reporting, month‑end close, budgeting and cash‑flow activities for Fortune 500 clients while supporting post‑merger integrations and ERP implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the financial reporting process, consolidate GAAP and IFRS results, and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Lead all month‑end close activities and cash‑management functions, including cash‑flow forecasting.
• Analyze financial results, perform variance analysis, and develop KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with business‑unit leaders on performance targets.
• Prepare SEC reporting footnotes, MD&A, and support external filings.
• Integrate post‑merger systems, support ERP upgrades, and participate in finance transformation projects.
• Research and apply new accounting regulations, and document accounting policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large public company.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to clients.
• Adaptable and flexible in fast‑changing environments.
