Final Shipping Inspector

About the role

Moog is seeking a Final Shipping Inspector to join its Space and Defense Group in New York. The role involves ensuring products are fully inspected and ready for shipment during the night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate final inspections by organizing and assigning inspectors.
• Process inspection results and verify documentation for cleared shipments.
• Review paperwork, contracts, and product condition to confirm readiness.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of hardware (e.g., tie‑wire, damage, nameplates, lead length).
• Review test data sheets for conformance and legibility.
• Investigate and resolve issues that could delay shipments, escalating when necessary.
• Track product movement from stock rooms through inspection to shipping.
• Communicate shipment status and inspection outcomes to customers.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical inspection or related field.
• Ability to work the night shift (11:00 pm – 7:00 am) on weekdays.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
