Field Services Technician

About the role

The Field Services Technician acts as the on‑site representative for multi‑dwelling unit properties after launch. You will work directly with property managers, customers, and internal support teams to troubleshoot, test, and resolve issues related to network devices, structured cabling, and low‑voltage systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on‑site with property managers, customers, support, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot, test, and identify root causes for network, cabling, and low‑voltage system problems.
• Document test results, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Provide regular status updates during extended outages.
• Install structured cabling, network devices, and low‑voltage equipment during demand spikes.
• Configure, program, and troubleshoot network and low‑voltage systems as needed.
• Remove field roadblocks and assist in conflict resolution to improve productivity.
• Maintain a safe working environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (college preferred).
• 1+ year of experience with networking, cabling, and at least one low‑voltage system.
• Construction field and customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong initiative, urgency, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work well with all organizational levels and as a team player.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of networking and Wi‑Fi technologies.
• Structured cabling (copper & fiber) installation and testing.
• Experience with low‑voltage systems such as ButterflyMX, Comelit, PDK, Brivo, Openeye, ICRealtime/Digital Watch Dog, Resideo/Honeywell, Stratis, Control4, Crestron, or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
