Field Services and Training Specialist (Lineman)

About the role

The Field Services and Training Specialist supports safe and efficient assembly and installation of RS composite utility poles. Reporting to the Field Services and Training Manager, the role provides customer support, field consulting, and training across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Consult customers on tools, work methods and equipment for RS pole installations.
• Develop and deliver training materials via conference calls, on‑site meetings and field demonstrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, bulletins and reference libraries.
• Research tools, equipment and procedures to improve work methods and training content.
• Collect field data, prepare reports and support the technical services team.
• Plan and coordinate travel and accommodation efficiently.

Required profile

• Valid Journeyman Lineman License or certification; electrical line‑worker college or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 10 + years experience as a lineman in a utility organization.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, utility power systems, technical drawings and load calculations (imperial & metric).
• Experience working at heights, climbing poles, and using fall‑arrest systems and power‑line equipment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and solve problems in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and non‑technical audiences.
