Field Service Technician – Tucson, AZ

About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Technician to support underground and surface mining equipment in the Tucson, AZ area. You will work directly with customers to troubleshoot, repair, and commission high‑tech mining machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components of underground mining equipment.
• Commission new equipment and provide on‑site training to customers.
• Perform inspections, testing, and adjustments to verify proper operation.
• Maintain accurate time records, technical reports, failure analyses, and parts lists.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and stay current with industry developments.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical or electrical background with proven diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently in underground and surface environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with a company vehicle provided.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
