Field Service Technician – Smart Home Solutions

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Technician in Mansfield, TX. You will install, service, and troubleshoot cutting‑edge smart home technology while helping customers upgrade to safer, more connected homes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems at residential locations.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades.
• Educate homeowners on system operation and best practices for security and convenience.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and sales activities.
• Participate in ongoing coaching and leadership training to advance within the national organization.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Willingness to learn technical skills on the job; prior experience in cable/satellite install, pest control, construction, or solar is helpful.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of security cameras.
• Installation and configuration of smart locks.
• Setup and maintenance of home automation systems.
