Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technology

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home, an NRG‑owned leader in connected home solutions, as a Field Service Professional in Lufkin, TX. You will be the face of the brand, installing cutting‑edge smart home equipment while helping customers upgrade to safer, more efficient systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation devices at residential locations.
• Assess each home’s needs and recommend additional equipment or service upgrades on‑site.
• Educate homeowners on system operation to ensure confidence and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the support team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales is a plus.
• Willingness to learn technical skills on the job; prior experience in cable/satellite install, construction, pest control, or solar is helpful.
